Last Friday I packed up Tarni and Shaah and sent them off with the lovely Kate Gadsby of Ra Endurance to the Eidsvold ride, as I was unable to attend. And then on Saturday morning Renae and Robert Kuhn picked up Tumbleweed and Hero and they set off on the long drive to Eidsvold. Splendacrest rider, Angela Head, had been asked to ride Nazzerin for Sally Gennings, so she also headed north for Eidsvold.
The weekend turned out quite successfully, with Tarni and Shaah gaining Line Honours and First Junior placing (AND best conditioned horse), while Angela gained Second Middleweight placing on Nazzy. Renae rode Tumbleweed in his first ever 80km ride, and completed successfully, but unfortunately Gerard and Hero vetted out lame after the first leg of the ride.
I'm very happy with Shaah's results, and he will now attend the other two rides in the "Burnett Series".... Biloela and Widgee. Hopefully he will do well in all three rides!!
A huge thanks to Kate Gadsby and Renae and Robert Kuhn for taking such good care of my wonderful horses!
